First Christian Church

The high school and junior high youth of First Christian Church (disciples of Christ) found out that the Medical Wings Organization needed hygiene bags to hand out to tsunami victims on their February trip.  The youth with the help of members of the congregation collected and put together quart size bags of full size antibacterial soaps bars, full size tubes of tooth paste, combs, toothbrushes and washcloths.

The group gave 317 of these hygiene bags to the Medical Wings organization.  In addition, they donated hundreds of snack size zip bags for the re-packaging of over4,000 chewable vitamins they also collected.  The youth group has had much mission outreach experience locally and taken mission trips to such places as Appalachia and Mexico.  The group is led by Rev. Dr. Donna Falk, the associate minister.
