Medical Wings International is a non-profit (501c3) organization that provides acute medical, dental and eye care, along with teaching, for acute relief and long-term, sustainable changes in developing nations around the globe.
As Global Healthcare Ambassadors, our volunteers have many opportunities to travel to Latin America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Africa and other locations throughout the world on healthcare missions. We deliver life-saving medicines, medical equipment and supplies, and provide basic medical, dental, and eye care to impoverished children and families within their own communities. Our mission teams deliver this care in the spirit gratitude for what we are able to give, and in a spirit of humility and respect for those we serve. Together we form lasting friendships and represent the United States as the connected, caring nation it is.
Medical Wings International is a network of medical professionals and non-medical volunteers, as well as donors just like you, who give their time, donations, effort and expertise toward the goal of treating those with little or no access to basic health care.
Medical Wings International provides unique opportunities for all of us to increase our understanding of the needs of those in the developing world. In addition, MWI partners with local charitable organizations as well for causes here at home.
Our primary healthcare program offers a variety of cross cultural experiences to those seeking the deep and sometimes life-changing satisfaction of making a difference as a volunteer. We are joined in this effort by our members and friends who may not be able to or have no interest travel, but want to participate through a donation of gifts or services. We welcome everyone to be a part of Medical Wings International.
Since its inception in 1998, Medical Wings International's operational budget has been based on charitable contributions and donations from the general public. Medical Wings is comprised solely of volunteers who work to ensure your gifts are used as advantageously as possible.
