Marline Oliver, Founder and President of HOPEH recently traveled to her homeland Port au Prince, Haiti. It's impossible to imagine the actual extent of the devastation without seeing it in person. The impact of experiencing several days of the emotional disaster of her people, minute after minute what she witnessed!

She reported: "When the news broke of the castrotrophe earthquake that had razed my home country HOPEH and its partner Medical Wings International setup a conference call to establish a plan of action for immediate departure to Haiti. Lead by our Medical Director, Dr. R. Lester of Boston and other medical volunteers for our immediate deployment to Port Au Prince, Haiti. The major support of our flight partner, American Airlines graciously provided our much needed flight/freight transportation for our mission of mercy."

"Over the next several days we rescued 103 refugees from Port Au Prince and transported them to our clinic in Juampas, Haiti. Many were pregnant women, orphaned children and families. We managed to housed and feed them in a nearby schoolhouse , while providing medical care at the clinic."

"We made several rescue efforts to Port au Prince, Haiti over a seven day time period providing the much needed medical care."
